Beaches & Surfing

Our nearest beach is one of Cornwalls most atmospheric and dramatic. Trebarwith Strand is to be found at the bottom of a deep valley with many attractive views along the Heritage Coastline out towards the picturesque Gull Rock. There are some rocks to be negotiated before you reach the rocky sands of the beach, but it is all very well worthwhile and at low tide there is over a mile of unbroken golden sand. Surfers, rock poolers and swimmers can all enjoy a great day out on some of the best coastline in the world.

There is a great little surf shop and surfing school located just by the beach.  The 'Trebarwith Strand Surf Shop' offers equipent to hire or buy, a surf school and a wealth of knowledge and information.  They are very friendly and can help you have that Cornish surfing experience you always wanted.

Bossiney Haven is also within very easy reach and a real gem for the intrepid surfer wanting to escape the crowds. Framed with jaw dropping location and scenery completes the package.

Also nearby, Crackington Haven is where the Atlantic Ocean has created a fine stretch of golden sand ribboned between two magnificent Rocky Headlands - Pencannow Point to the north and Bray's Point to the south of the beach.
