El Cadejo Sauvignon Blanc

Perfectly clean and balanced with fresh gooseberry and grapefruit aromas. This wine is well rounded, dry and aromatic offering a citrussy palate with notes of crisp apple and lemon on the finish

£5.5 250ml Glass

£4.5 175ml Glass

Belfiore Pinot Grigio, Italy

This ever popular, lightly fruited wine from the area around Venice is gentle on the palate and accompanies a range of lighter food flavours very well.

Flying Kiwi Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

This fun example of New Zealand’s adopted favourite grape is full of the great gooseberry kick and deeper tropical fruits associated with Marlborough. Could become the favourite of the mistress of the house!

Camel Valley Bacchus, Cornwall 2010

Aromatic, yet still dry in the modern German style, this cold fermented Cornish wine is fantastic with lighter fish dishes and any shellfish.

Madeleine Angevin, Knightor Winery, Cornwall

This recently opened winery has the expertise of winemaker James Thomas who is certainly making his mark. Trained in Australia, but originally from The Isles of Scilly where his parents run the St Martin Vineyard, James has developed this quintessentially English wine. Crisp and lightly floral with some mineral depth and clean acidity, It is just made for amazing Cornish produce.

Domaine de la Tonnellerie Sancerre. Thirot, France

The famous offering from the Loire valley region, this is a more modern style Sancerre which is aromatic and relatively fruity. Gooseberries prevale with some nettley herbaceousness, all in a light accessible style. A classy complement to any meal.

Provence Rose, Domaine Pique Roque, France, 2010

Good Provencal rose wines are distinguished by their colouring, a pale brown tinged pink which is known as onion skin. This wine, which is incidentally, made by a Falmouth man, Anthony Trembath, also delivers the regions typical dry style with scents of dried grass and heather.

El Cadejo Merlot

Rich brambly Merlot from an iconic Chilean family owned winery in the foothills of the Andes. This great all round wine is classically generous and smooth

£5.50 250ml Glass

£4.5 175ml Glass

Santa Alicia Carmenere Reserve. Chile

Although originally a grape variety from Bordeaux, it has been adopted and nurtured as 'the' grape variety of Chile. It was only in the 1970’s that they discovered that a lot of plantings which were assumed to be Merlot, were in fact Carmenere. Rich and smooth, not unlike Merlot, with a touch of blueberry character thrown in.

Dante Robino Malbec, Argentina

Malbec was introduced to Argentina in the mid-19th Century when the Governor of Mendoza submitted a proposal to the Government to broaden and diversify their wine industry. This ‘black’ grape has certainly found its place in and around Mendoza, producing a deep, well rounded plum and cherry fruit red with soft tannins.

Nederburg Winemasters Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon S.A

This South African wine is very nicely balanced between soft oak and rich berry fruits, displaying great value for money against equivalent aged wines from Bordeaux.

Rioja Excelsus, Vina Herminia, Spain

A very modern style of Rioja is produced by Aussie winemaker David Morrison who has taken Tempranillo and Garnacha grapes usually held back for Reserva wines, and produced this plush wine which really delivers. Intense black cherry with just 9 months in oak to develop traditional smoke and vanilla flavours. Hearty meat dishes are complemented by the Excelsus.

Château de la Charriére Santenay 1er Cru

Yves Girardin produces robust, classically Burgundian Pinot Noir and this one is from his favourite vineyard. Fragrant and elegant when given time in the glass with notes of raspberry and jasmine.

Chapel Hill Sparkling Pinot Grigio, Hungary

Made in the traditional ‘methode champenoise’ this is a super drop of fizz! Fruity and fresh

Cava, Portaceli Brut, Spain

Rich and biscuity with lovely yeasty notes that we expect from this traditional style of bubbly. Long lasting bubbles and great flavour.

Di Maria Prosecco DOC, Italy

This Prosecco is light to drink. Pale straw, almost colourless, and dry, it is well balanced. Not overly floral and with citric notes.

Camel Valley Brut Sparkling, Cornwall

"Bob Lindo's iconic sparkling wine consistently wins awards when up against the best that France can produce. It has been hailed as the best British wine by one critic. Oz Clarke says it all in - 'Fresh, lovely bright, fruity style, good stuff!'

Camel Valley Pinot Noir Brut, Cornwall

Voted top English Sparkling Rosé by a panel of Masters of Wine, outright winners of the Sparkling Rosé International trophy in Verona for the last two vintages, you will understand why we stock this wine!

A Word From the Brewer

St Austell Brewery

St Austell Brewery are proud of our bottled beers and we take great care to ensure the flavours, aromas and experience of our bottled ales live up to their cask cousins.

Our bottled beers are brewed in St Austell using locally grown malt and our own unique water supply along with the finest hops and yeast.

Tribute at 4.2% is a Supreme Champion Ale of Cornwall as voted by CAMRA, and the South West's Favourite cask beer, Tribute is a popular favourite across Cornwall, the South West and the rest of the UK. It is brewed using specially grown Cornish Gold Malt and is a perfect accompaniment to chicken, gammon or fish. The ideal alternative to a fine white wine.

The Keltek Brewery

The Keltek Cornish Brewery began life in a small stable on the Roseland Peninsula and for years was run by its founder “Big” Stu Heath, much more as a hobby than a business. But after winning a vast number of regional, national and even international awards, the brewery soon expanded, and over the years Keltek has grown into one of the largest capacity breweries in the West Country.

King (5.1%) A premium bitter, exceptionally well balanced and long-lasting on the palate. It is a medium amber ale with citrus notes and with strong Powerful hops and a pleasant bitterness.
