When you eat in you can be certain that you are experiencing some of the best produce available, cooked to an exceptionally high standard. Everything we serve is always fresh and cooked to order.
If you decide your evening meal is an experience not to be shared with others, or you want to keep away from the crowds, we have the ideal solution. Our intimate dining room with traditional Victorian colours, copper tinted stone fireplace and rich luscious gold fabrics, not to mention sparkling glass chandeliers, is the perfect setting.
We can seat 2 - 14 guests in the dining room on a range of table options from couples to small dinner parties.
Growfair Cornwall, aims to deliver the finest locally grown fresh produce to us in an honest and reliable way. This is achieved through a continued collaboration with local growers, treating them fairly at all times, to create a business everyone can be proud of. We work with Growfair to make sure we obtain the best seasonal produce available for the benefit of our guests.
Have a long tradition in Camelford of supplying quality local produce. Mr Biscombe from Treiacombe Farm in Camelford supply the Beef, whereas, Mr Cornelius based in Davidstow itself, supply the Lamb and Pork. The Chickens are sourced from Creedy Carver on the Merrifield Farm in Crediton, Devon. Other Cornish supplies include J.V Richards from Truro, and the Cornish Farmhouse bacon Co. in Whitestone, Bude.
John T. Collins is the proprietor and Supplier of quality local wet fish, based on Fore Street, Port Isaac. They specialise in supplying Cornish seafood and the list include: Sea Bass, Crab, Mackerel, Pollack, Lobster, Turbot, Megrim to name but a few. All the stock is sourced from local ports such as: Newlyn, Looe, & Plymouth. Whilst supplying a whole range of seafood including international varieties, Knights do work as sustainably as they can and sell line caught fish as standard especially the Bass and Pollack.
Tregida Smokehouse is a family run business producing traditional Cornish Oak smoked Fish, Meat and Game. Located on the North Cornish Coast, they are ideally situated for supplying fresh local produce, and we serve the excellent Kippers they smoke just down the road.
They have reinvented traditional food smoking, combining old curing methods with the latest quality control and hygiene systems, located in picturesque countryside nearby, ideally situated for the sourcing of fresh local produce.
Trewithen Dairy is a family business farming at Greymare Farm near Lostwithiel since 1985. They supply the highest quality Cornish produce and are passionate about working with local farmers in Cornwall. The quality dairy products only use 100% Cornish milk - the furthest collection is less than 25 miles away. Such produce can only be achieved from happy, healthy cows fed on a nutritious diet of Cornish grass and living a stress-free, comfortable life. We get all our milk, butter, cream & Yoghurt from Trewithen.
Source as much UK grown produce as possible, with the majority being grown in the Southwest and specifically Cornwall. Many items are grown within 5 miles of our shop in Slaughterbridge, these include: Broccoli, Potatoes, cabbages, cauliflowers, bunched carrots, sprouts, spring greens, tomatoes, courgettes, lettuces, cucumbers & fresh herbs. All the Hereford Beef and Cornish Lamb is reared on the farms at Slaughterbridge and Otterham. The Free Range rare breed Pork is reared near Launceston, and the free range chicken and duckling comes from Bude. A1 also sell locally caught wild rabbit.
